Privacy Policy

insuremy.bike (“we,” “us”) is a New Jersey community insurance project operated by Hudson Yards Data. This policy explains what we collect when you use this site and our comparison tools, and what we do with it. It is a pre-launch draft and will be finalized with counsel before we bind any coverage.

What we collect

• Quote inputs you enter — ZIP code, bike details, coverage selections, and, if you request a quote, your email.
• Usage analytics — a random visitor ID and session ID, pages viewed, and the marketing source that referred you. We store a hashed (not plain-text) version of your email as the join key; the raw email is only kept when you explicitly submit it for a quote.
• Device basics — browser type and general location inferred from your ZIP, to show accurate estimates.

How we use it

• To generate and display insurance estimates and comparisons.
• To email you a quote or updates you request, and, once we launch, to help you complete coverage.
• To understand which content and channels are useful, in aggregate.

What we don’t do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not place your data in URL parameters or share it with insurers you didn’t ask us to contact. Comparison figures shown on this site are computed from public data and our own models — getting an estimate here does not, by itself, submit an application to any insurer.

Third parties

We use Appwrite (hosting and database) and Google BigQuery (analytics storage). When you choose to get a real quote from a listed insurer, that insurer’s own privacy policy governs the information you give them.

Your choices

You can browse and compare without giving us an email. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email hello@insuremy.bike. New Jersey and other state privacy rights, where applicable, are honored.
